In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory, the most important factors for a healthy body & mind are an unrestricted circulation of Blood & Qi, and a balance of the Yin & Yang energies of the body.  The philosophy of Chinese Medicine is holistic, meaning the body is considered more than just the sum of its parts.

If our energies are deficient, if we are invaded by an external pathogen, or if our emotional state is in a prolonged state of extreme we will become sick.  A Chinese Medicine Doctor will analyze all of a person’s symptoms to discriminate the underlying patterns of disharmony which are the root of their complaints.

Treatment in TCM is aimed at optimizing circulation of and through the external Meridian system (using acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, tui na, and qi gong) and balancing the internal ZangFu organ system (using dietary modifications and Chinese Herbal Medicine).
